EgoTick is a social bookmarking site designed specifically to spot, monitor and promote individuals making headlines on the web. The rise of networking sites such as MySpace and YouTube means more people are becoming "one-man brands", and EgoTick exists to keep track of these people.

Anyone can bookmark a URL via EgoTick, so PR/marketing executives can post references to their clients' exploits if the subject of the news is too busy making headlines.

Bloggers looking to make a name for themselves can add a single line of code to their templates which enables their readers to 'EgoTick This Story'.

Instigator Blog was recently redesigned to promote a stronger brand image for Benjamin Yoskovitz and his collaborative efforts on the Web.

The blog is built using WordPress and a theme called Torn, heavily modified to provide a clean, crisp and easily readable design. You might call it Web 2.0, but without being overly slick to the point of alienating readers who are more focused on small business and entrepreneurship versus technology.
